Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack

Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage taken after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was among those injured in the event. Five people required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – described by police as was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
