Emerging athlete preparing for major competition

The rising star maintains considerable social media presence

Kai Trump will have plenty of well-known cheerleaders as she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple courses worldwide and regularly plays against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she revealed.

The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa basically advised me to compete and relax," she added.

"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, making him rather occupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has competed in just three tournaments this year and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

Yet she can seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.

"He represents the best player globally," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."

She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in the sport at this tournament, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Officials commented that Kai's presence brings the sport to different demographics, specifically among youth audiences.

The young star boasts millions of followers and recently launched a personal apparel and wellness brand.

She begins at 17:30 GMT.
