A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane touched down based on established safety measures and everyone onboard, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer said in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This event isn't the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane carrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
