Edwards and Gary O'Neil Included in Wolves Head Coach Contenders

Rob Edwards along with O'Neil are two of the initial candidates under consideration to replace the former manager as head coach of Wolves.

The previous coach was dismissed on the weekend following the team's ten-game without a victory beginning to the top-flight campaign.

Furthermore Edwards and O'Neil - both of who have previous associations to the club - are among the names to be evaluated by the Wolves leadership.

The manager is presently at another club, which would pose a possible hurdle to his appointment at Molineux.

However the former Luton Town manager - who made more than 100 of appearances for Wolves during his playing career - is considered a leading contender for the vacancy.

The mid-career manager is said to have backing from the Wolves board as they start the search of hiring a new head coach.

Gary O'Neil is additionally emerging as a unexpected contender, even though he would be a shock choice given he was released by Wolves in December last year.

The ex- West Ham midfielder is currently unemployed meaning the club would not be required to pay any compensation.
